So, I killed a rat today, I picked it up(with a glove) out of a toilet bowl, threw it into a bag full of duct tape, and slammed it into the ground.....how was your first day? ______________________________________________________________________________________
I'm also going to use this as a summer memoir entry...but I'm tired, so I'll finish it tomorow or something. I might even have some photos and a video clip of the rat I destroyed today. Good Eve.
***So, post rat destruction. I find out that my schedule was switched without my knowledge...if you want to find me(doubtful) Check this first.
So this summer...I did alot of the following:
Eating.
Working.
Watching Movies.
Going on cultural excursions with fellow peoples...aka. Playing!
~So I ate alot. A lot as in...like 4-5 substantial portions a day. That was due to working from 7-8ish to 4-5ish 6 days a week. In order for me to maintain my sanity and energy, I had to eat...alot. So I got fatter, fatter than normal. On top of that, my back got weaker and weaker from sitting around.
~Work...was a pretty awesome experience, my boss was extremely patient. If I were the boss, I would have fired myself. Instead I get an offer to come back after I graduate....Grace abounds. I basically flexed my AUTOCADD(Computer Aided Drafting and Design) Muscles for 3 months, learned how to screw up over and over again, and mix Nutella with Peanut Butter on Wheatbread.
I also did some side jobs, involving food. So, again, food and work seem to come in married couples.
~Thankfully, work and food also include play.
I think I saw....too many movies this summer. OMG....Waaay too many movies, some bad, some great, some surprisingly good. Ill rank them in three tiers...the wow don't ever watch this it will make you gouge your eyes out, the meh, Download from the Internet, and...Let's See that AGAIN!! Oh, and Surprisingly decent.
Wow don't ever watch this it will make you gouge your eyes out Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Douchebag Shrek 3 Pirates 3: Curse of the rediculous plot line Chuck and Larry ~For these four, I don't have to explain myself...
Meh, download from the Internet Simpsons Stardust Evan Almighty
Surprisingly decent. Talk to Me - Historically significant, Don Cheadle and Chiwetel Ejiofor are very compelling. Hairspray - This was actually one of the best movies I saw this summer, but it surprised the crap out of me...it was great!!! I wanna DANCE!!
Let's See that AGAIN!! Transformers - Makes it here because of its special effects, hottt...special effects, and giant robots blowing stuff up. Its probably the worst of the best movies I saw, but I don't wanna get lynched by telling people to download it. Harry Potter - I really enjoyed this movie...shut up. Bourne Ultimatum - Rocked. Matt Damon is...in a totally hetero perspective, one of my favored actors...albeit underrated in many circles.
Its a fight between Hairspray and Bourne, I dunno...
I saw some good movies on DVD too...Dream Girls...makes me wanna sing to people as I argue with them... I re-watched the Departed. Hot Fuzz was funny too.
So, I saw 12 movies in theatre...thats alot. 12 x $10 is $120 on movie tickets...yea...thats alot. Though I saw some movies in the burbs, and I hit up that $6 deal at City North. I think Im still sick from eating all that butter from the free popcorn though.
~I also played whenever I could, despite having to be in bed by 11pm almost every day... Heres some random stuff...
~So this past Saturday, myself and Gentleman Jeph .....
...went out to our haunt of Fox and Hounds to watch UFC 74. It was a smashing show, displaying many great fights, astounding action and many a memorable performance.
The big winner was of course the current heavyweight Champ....who...nobody really cares...Randy Couture. What is astounding is that he is 44 Years Old. He beat a guy who was over 10 years younger, and 20 lbs heavier. Using cunning, wit, training and a strong heart he emerged the victory.
***So yea, can you guess which guy won?
***Also featured was Welterweight(170lbs) Superstar Georges "Rush" St. Pierre, quite possibly the best fighter in the weightclass and also one of the best fighters period. Touted as the future of the sport for his...pretty much awesomeness at everything. In this last fight, he dominated a Multiple Divison 1 Champion NCAA Wrestler and National Champion named Josh Koschek. I was entertained.
So....I don't make too many xanga entries, but today is Paul "Left-Kut" Kim's Birthday!! The Left-Kut thing is a lil inside sumtin sumtin.....But yea...Happy Birthday PAUL!!!! If there is a quality that I associate the most with you. it is your God seeking heart and your passion for Jesus. You have been such an encouraging brother to me these past 3 years, it will be amazing to see how God will work in your life for this next year.
So....I had all this stuff typed for an entry, then I accidentally clicked on a pic...and erased my whole entry...it was sweet. This is the Spam Lite version of my entry....most of the soul and heart is gone from the beginning because I was all fired up....now...I just want to...lie down.
Anyways, I had some stuff about grades, how they were disapointing, but I did better than Fall Semester.
I also wrote some deep, deep stuff about AAIV, but I don't feel like writing it anymore....basically, I felt like this past year was an utter failure in many respects. There was alot of time and energy put into stuff, and it doesn't seem like much changed or was affected....blah
ok...Cedar Time. This is the second time I am typing this, I hope it doesn't get deleted again.
I took Encountering God, it was good, it was fun, it was paced well, we explored many facets of God. Here is a sg pic. They were so encouraging in their prayers, sharing and insight of God...
Are my eyes...closed or open? Doh.
Water sports was enjoyed by many at Cedar, as you can see, Jerry looks like Huck Fin, and Phil looks like he is peeing on a kayak.
What the heck is Steve doing?
Most opted for the sleek kayak....However, a select few of elite warriors braved the 56' water to do a Death...erm....Swim Test. I barely finished, I think the Life Guard dude felt tired. My legs failed me, my lungs were collapsing, and....yea. It was rough. But the result was a chance to pilot the lithe, aerodynamic and super fun Sunfish sailboat.
Powered by the winds of God, these majestic water missiles easily outpaced the kayaks...in speed and fun. Brought back alot of memories from times of Summer past...when I was a young lad of 14...when my mom made me go to sailing lessons....on Sunfish. Anyways they rocked....Ok, tahts it for Cedar. Oh yea, w00t for Christian Mosh Pits....We should just do that for LG....jump around for 45 minutes and have a speaker share about it for 10 minutes. Then go eat.
So, on the way back, everyone fell asleep, and Tiffany was really bored, so she took pics of all of us....she is CRAZY.
If the music hasn't ended, do jumping jacks until it stops, then click on the you tube clips.... Just click the links. The first one is from the Champion...well, ex-Champion now...Chuck Liddell. With a strong background in wrestling, Hawaiian Kempo Karate, Kickboxing and many other disciplines, he basically knocks people out and prevents people from taking him down.
~~~~I realized how much it sux uploading on Xanga now...all the pics r on facebook.... *To see all the pics in fullsize, right click on the them go to "view image" or something like that...
So yea, another entry where my hair gets cut....but I have a good reason! My very good friend Kiley Marie Martz now Beals got married over spring break. She moved out to Arizona a few years ago, and was set up on a blind date with this fire man (Kasey the groom) and....yea I guess it worked out lol. So, this is a photographic chronicle of a few days of wedding mayhem, fun and sun.
Yea...it was a real vacation. Sadly it only masked the insanity that is school and only temporarily alleviated all the stresses of academia.
The first day we basically did nothing except chill outside in the sun...and the second day, pretty much the same stuff hahahaha....Then the wedding....
Here are some pictures of the place we were hanging out at, my friends home...well, more like the backyard....its really quite beautiful out there, despite the arid terrain, its very natural and serene.
~ So to be honest, this place was pretty amazing. Pool, little bar table, fire pit, jacuzzi outside. Beautiful sunsets....it was so perfect. They even had a pretty dog named Ciara....like...the singer lol. or...Sierra...I dunno. But Siberian Huskies are so cool, except they are hyper-active and lick you all the time. Some people might actually like that lol.
More pics of us chillin by the pool....kickin it like the good ol' days...maaan....those good ol' days...
~Yea, that dog was craaazy.
Ok, so wedding time...
~Awww....wasn't that such a lovely ceremony? Out in this really nice country club....it was funny coz people were golfing like 30 feet away from us. Yes. All the single guys such as Charlie up here were like...crap....this is a sad day for mankind...
Alright, I'm gonna drop another pile of wedding pictures...enjoy.
~ I hate how my eyes are always closed....gah!!!!
~The lovely bride and the brides maid of honors....the lil sis and the best friend.... awwwwww
Cake time!
~ I figured out why they got married.....
***So whats the best part about weddings?! Its the DANCING....coz we get DOWN!!!!
~ So don't pay any attention to me...but look at the granny in the turqoise dress....YO!!! This granny could get DOWN. She was CRAZAY!!!!
Alas, the party ended...but the after party....was also crazy....no pictures of that....
But, the brunch was quite lovely...
~If theres one thing that AZ has a lot of...its Cacti. I encountered many a Cacti....
So yea...I cut my hair. Its been....about...5 months...something like that. It was a long time. My hair was obscuring my vision and ability to concentrate in class, so it had to go. lol
Ok, to make this entry worth your viewing pleasure, I have pictures and random thoughts that could be mildly entertaining depending on your mood.
~So first off. My cousin had a baby boy!!!! Yay!! So now, I've got half white cousins and half-korean cousins. Aish, where is the gene pool going?! It is my duty to keep the bloodlines pure....or not. Whatever.
So here are some pictures... Simultaneously, I was working security for the Chinese New Year parade in C-Town. I got to wear th is bright yellow jacket that said security on the back and yell at people to get off the street, and record the parade. Had nice perspective of the parade. I felt like I was a news guy or somethin.
It's definitely the year of the Flying Scorp..erm..Golden Pig. Yay for the Taiwan flag... :-p
Somthing that was kind of annoying was all the political stuff going on. The place was crawling with political adds and many of the floats were goverment floats and what not. Must be election year.
Crazy Chinese people just asking to get run over by a float....
Can't really tell these guys what to do...they have swords...I had a video camera. Sword >>>Video Camera.
~Chicago Dragons Team. My uncle runs these foos.
~My uncle in the red hat calling the shots. He also ran the parade, hence my security/filming duties...yay
~OMG Its Benny the Bull!!! And...his crotch rocket....
~It aint a C-TOWN Parade without Ronald in da House!!! me encanta!!
~Random floats...
***So if you have more time to kill....
So I broke my PS2 AV Cable after tripping on it one day...so I can't play Final Fantasy XII.
~Balthier needs your help! He WANTS YOU! If you have a spare PS/PS2 AV Cable, or don't need it, can I borrow it?!?!?!? PLEASE!!!
~In other related news. My leg has been bummed out, and all I've wanted to do is be active: Snowboarding, fighting, driving fast cars...instead, I sit here and make xanga entries...
Oh, and this baby here is just sitting in a garage wasting away....
"Cary, please drive me....I'm wasting away in Seattle...." ~Don't worry Carrera, I'll be there to thrash you around the city..." _________________________________________________________
Ok, so if you STILL have more time to kill....
~This is Rich "Ace" Frankling. He bears a striking resemblance to Jim Carrey, hence the name Ace. He's also one of my favorite MMA fighters. Fights at Middle weight, 185lbs but could probably fight at 205 because thats his natural weight. Great striking, ferocious, good wrestling and submissions. Plus hes a very intelligent fighter and person overall. Used to be a math teacher lol. Also, he is a Christian. 20-2. Used to be a champ in the UFC, but got his head busted by the current champ Anderson Silva...note to self, do not get caught in Muay Thai clinch EVER.
Here is a video if ur bored. The sound will interfere with the background music, just turn it down. *Warning, this video contains violent scenes which may not be suitable for people who don't like violence...or cool stuff*
